As a part of the project “Chair for Sustainability and Textile Innovation-Phase 2” the Second International Symposium on “Igniting Innovation for Sustainable Textile” is going to be organized by Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST). The event will be held on August 05-07, 2024 at AUST Campus in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The first symposium was successfully organized by UNU-FLORES and held on September 6-7, 2023 in Dresden, Germany.
The main focus of the symposium is to bring academicians, scholars, researchers, industry experts, and policymakers together to provide a platform for discussing the challenges, latest advancements, sustainable and innovative solutions covering several fields in textile engineering, sustainability, and innovation.
We invite all aspiring researchers worldwide to submit their research papers, case studies, and creative works in the form of posters or research papers. The full paper will be peer-reviewed before its final acceptance and will be published as conference proceedings.

Program
The whole program is split into three themes namely “Resources and Their Nexuses in Textile Industry”, “Special Sustainable Tools for Sustainability Assessment in Textile Industry”, and “Water and Waste Management in Textile Industry” aligned with the name of the courses offered by CSTI that explores the latest innovation, challenges, and solutions in these segments to create a sustainable textile industry. Moreover, there will be two panel discussions on the textile sustainability with the prominent experts. One of the major attractions of the symposium is the demonstration of Muslin fabric production. As creativity, technology, and know-how are necessary, these three sessions will play a role in achieving a sustainable future of the textile industry along with SDGs through the interdisciplinary engagement of world-class personnel.
